the only way to fly (with a toddler)

I hooked Char's car seat onto this Magna Cart Personal Handtruck using the latch tether straps/hooks (pulled tight) and was able to cruise around the airports with ease. We found ours on Amazon for $30. It requires going through a bit of sh!t with security (some of our TSA agents are nicer than some of our other TSA agents) but is well worth it when one needs to get from gate A1 to gate G99 in a hurry. Recommend this to your friends with toddlers.

Looks like you did exactly what I'm hoping to do. I googled: travel "Magna Cart""car seat" and your blog post is the first relevant result that shows me someone else who had the same idea. My major concern was whether the tray on the dolly is deep enough to get under the convertible car seat (look like an Evenflo in your picture, but should work similar for a Britax Blvd). We have 2 little ones to travel with , but the older one can walk by herself, so it will be great to use the carseat as a pseudo-stroller in the airport for the little guy and bring it on the plane with us. We'll still rent one carseat to go with the rental car, and friends at our destination already have a double stroller for our use. The Magna Cart will be cheaper than the cost of having to rent the 2nd car seat for 5 days!

I had the same concern about the depth so I brought extra bungee cords.

My buddy and I were on our own so I practiced how to do it at home a few times.

I had people complimenting me on my genius at the airport!

I hope it works as well for you as it did me. Happy travels!

P.S. I had no need for the bungees, my straps being tied and tethered to the cart worked fine.
